Fixed-Tilt Racks
You may know fixed-tilt racks as 'tables'. The concept is the same. We have chosen to use the term 'fixed-tilt rack' to mean a fixed structure that a number of PV modules are placed on. These are often referred to as just 'racks' for conciseness.
Fixed-Tilt Rack System Properties
A fixed-tilt rack system is like a family of fixed-tilt racks of different lengths. When automatically laying out racks during the lay out process you choose a fixed-tilt rack system and racks of various lengths are used to fill out the layout region most effectively.
The Module Length and Module Width properties should be the same as the module specification that you intend to use with the rack system. Click the 'Use a module specification to set module dimensions...' button to use the dimensions of an existing module specification.
The Modules Deep value is the number of modules vertically down the rack. This is the same for all rack specifications in the rack system family.
Fixed-Tilt Rack Template Specifications
Press the 'Insert' button to add a new fixed-tilt rack template to the fixed-tilt rack system family.
You must add at least one Fixed-Tilt Rack Template (in the 'Fixed-Tilt Rack Template Properties' panel) to the fixed-tilt rack system specification.
A fixed-tilt rack template is a specific instance of a fixed-tilt rack system of a defined length. Modules Wide is the number of modules along the rack. You will see a visual representation of the currently selected rack template in the lower panel.
You can also specify spacing distances between modules (vertically and horizontally), the spacing between racks and an optional frame size around each rack.
